11 Smart Ways to Use Your Brand Photos (Right After You Get Them Back)

So, you just got your brand photos back (I know so exciting right!) But now what?

As a rural brand photographer, one of the most common things I see from clients (after they fall in love with their photos) is: “Now I just need to figure out how to use them!”

That inspired me to round up the 11 ways I personally used my own brand photos within the first month and how you can do the same to make the most of your investment, right away.

The best thing about these tips, even if you don’t have fresh brand photos to display you can still make some changes to give your brand a bit of a refresh!

1. Updated My Contact Page: This one’s so simple but so impactful. I swapped in a fresh image and instantly gave the page a more current, welcoming feel.

2. Refreshed My “About Me” Page” Not only did I update the photos, but it gave me the perfect excuse to rewrite my copy—something I hadn’t done in years.

3. Saved to Google Photos: I uploaded the full gallery to Google Photos so I could access everything easily from my phone or desktop, perfect for grabbing images on the fly. If we have done photos together you can do this right from your gallery!

4. Uploaded to Canva: I do this then save them in a folder titled 2025 brand photos. Having them already in my Canva account meant I am far more likely to use them. No digging through folders—just plug and post.

5. Created a New Instagram Intro Post: This was a big one: I used my photos to reintroduce myself to my audience and tell my story with fresh visuals. (Bonus tip: I pinned it to my feed so it’s always visible to new visitors.)

6. Updated My Reel Cover Template: A quick template refresh in Canva made my reels look polished and consistent (If your brand photographs are done by me you get this template for free!)

7. Shared My Favouites in a Post: I made a simple post highlighting my favorite images and the story behind them. It’s a subtle way to show followers that I take my business seriously and that I invest in it too. (Plus I got to shout out the awesome work of one of my favourite photographers!)

8. Refreshed My CRM Templates: I use HoneyBook, so I took this chance to swap in updated photos and rework the content in my client experience templates.

9. Changed My Social Media Profile Picture: I chose a close-up so my audience sees the person behind the posts. A warm, clear profile photo goes a long way in making online connections feel personal.

10. Updated My Email Templates: I specifically asked my photographer to capture a “jumping for joy” image just for my “Thanks for booking!” emails. It adds a touch of personality that fits my brand perfectly.

11. Sent Them to My Sister: Because, let’s be real, sometimes you just need your favorite hype girl to gush over how amazing you look. 😉
